Question 1: When will I receive my Preferred Guest Membership Card?
Answer: You’ll receive your welcome kit from us within 3-4 weeks from the day your application is submitted. Your welcome kit will contain your new Preferred Guest Membership Card which you should carry with you so that you can earn points every time you dine with us. Your welcome kit will include a $25 dining certificate as a “thank you” for being our Preferred Guest.

Question 2: I just signed up for Preferred Guest Membership. If I have not received my card yet, can I still earn points on my dining experiences?
Answer: Yes! Just save your receipt(s). Soon, you’ll receive a Welcome Kit that will explain all the benefits of using your Preferred Guest Membership Card, including how to receive your points via a mailable Points Request Form.

Question 3: I forgot to use my Preferred Guest Membership Card on my last visit—how do I still receive points?
Answer: As long as the date of your visit was within the last 3 months, you can receive points for your dining experience. There are 3 ways you can submit your request:
• Click here to access the online Points Request Form
• Make a photocopy of your dining receipts and a copy of your Preferred Guest Membership Card and mail to: McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, Attn: Preferred Guest Services Team, 1414 NW Northrup, Suite 700, Portland OR 97209.

Your points should be applied to your account within 4 weeks. To confirm that your points have posted, check your point balance 24/7 online. Note: Points will only be issued for visits after date of joining.

Question 4: Do I need to carry my card with me when I dine?
Answer: Yes, to utilize your reward dining credits you will need to have your Preferred Guest Card wtih you. Also, when you carry your card with you, your points will be issued instantly to your account when you pay your bill and saves the step of submitting for missing points after the fact. Having your card also helps should you need to show it at the host desk to utilize Priority Seating.

Question 5: If another diner pays the dining check, can I still receive points on my Preferred Guest account?
Answer:We appreciate you dining with us, and we're always happy when your friends and family join us. Preferred Guest Points can only be credited to the person who pays the dining check. If you decide to split the check, we will be happy to make sure your account is credited for the portion of the bill that you pay.

Question 6: How do I redeem points for rewards?
Answer: It’s easy to redeem your points for rewards—simply check your point total online. You can choose from all the rewards online; select your favorite and submit your request. Dining certificates, Cookbooks, Chef's Table Dinner and Cocktail Reception rewards will arrive in the mail within 2 weeks. All rewards are valid for one year from the issue date. Question 7: Can I manage my account online?
Answer: Of course! You’ll enjoy convenient, 24/7 access to your Preferred Guest Membership account where the Primary Member can:
• Update Your Member Profile. Make changes to your name, mailing address, email address and other information quickly and easily.
• Check your Reward Dining Credit and Account Balance. See how many points you need to reach your next reward.
• Redeem Points for Rewards. Choose your rewards when you’re ready.
• Order New Membership Card(s). Lost your card? No problem! We’ll send you a new one within 2 weeks.

Question 8: What do I need in order to log in to my account?
Answer:
If you are a returning Preferred Guest Member: To access your account, please enter your 19 digit account number and password. Your default password is the month and day (MMDD) of the primary card holder's birthday. Once logged in to your account click on "Manage Account Information." Here you have the option of changing your user ID to an email address.Use your 19 digit membership number (without spaces) as your "username."

If you are a brand new member: To access your account, please enter your email address you used when enrolling in the Preferred Guest program. The first time you log in, your default password will the month and day (MMDD) of the Primary cardholder’s birthday. This password is temporary and you will be prompted to change it upon logging in.

If you did not provide an email address when you enrolled, your username is the first initial and last name of the primary card holder. Your default password is the month and day of the primary card holder's birthday (MMDD). This password is temporary and you will be prompted to change it upon logging in.

Question 9: How long do I have to accumulate points?
Answer: If you became a Preferred Guest in 2008 or earlier, all points earned from 01/01 through 12/31 will expire on 1/31 of the following year.

For example: All points earned from 01/01/2010 through 12/31/2010 will expire on January 31, 2011.

If you became a Preferred Guest in 2009 or later, point expiration will take place on your anniversary of your enrollment. You will have one month after your anniversary to redeem all points earned within the last year.

For example: If you joined in June 2009, you have until June 2010 to earn points, and the month of July to redeem points for a reward before points expire at the end of July.

Question 10: Can I add a member of my household to my Preferred Guest Membership?
Answer: Yes. To add a Secondary Member to your account you will need to contact Preferred Guest Customer Service at preferredguest@msmg.com or toll-free at 877-552-8438. Remember, all Preferred Guest Members must be 18 years of age or older. You’ll receive your second Membership Card within 3-4 weeks.

Question 11: When I book a private party at McCormick and Schmick’s, can I still earn Preferred Guest Membership points?
Answer: Absolutely! As long as you are an active Preferred Guest Member before you sign the contract, you’re eligible to earn points on all food and beverage purchases (excluding tax and gratuity), up to 7,500 points per event. Some restrictions may apply. For more details, see the Program Terms and Conditions.

Question 12: Will I earn points when I purchase McCormick & Schmick’s merchandise and cookbooks?
Answer: Yes, we’ll credit your account with one point per dollar spent on merchandise and our cookbook excluding tax.

Question 13: How do I receive my $30 Dining Credit for my birthday?
Answer: Primary members will receive a $30 birthday dining credit only if they have had at least 3 visits posted to their Preferred Guest account in the past 12 months. The $30 birthday credit is valid only during the month of your birthday. Birthday credit is available the second day of your birth month and will expire on the last day of your birth month.

Question 16: How do I accumulate points for rewards?
Answer: Every time you dine with us, simply present your Preferred Guest Membership Card to your server. You’ll receive points for your food and beverage purchases, excluding gift cards, tax and tip. If you split the check with someone in your party, you’ll receive points for your portion of the bill. Your points will be credited to your account within 24 hours of your visit.
